NORTH Korea has threatened the USA with a “miserable end” amid fears Kim Jong-un’s rogue state is plotting a missile launch TODAY.
North Korea, in a ferocious article in one of North Korea’s propaganda channels, have accused America of attempting to force a final “shown” with Kim Jong-un.
The article, published in a Pyongyang-based newspaper, described the US as “imperialists” and said they only responded to “actions, not polite words”.
The piece, entitled ‘U.S. Should be Mindful of DPRK [North Korea]’s Warming’, concluded with a horrifying warning about the country’s growing nuclear strength.
The piece said: “If the U.S. persists in its hostile policy towards the DPRK and makes a showdown with the latter to the end, while denying the strategic position of the DPRK, it will only face the final miserable end.
“Only actions, not polite words, will work on the U.S. which acts with imprudence.”
The article said, if provoked, North Korea would respond with “unimaginable” force.
It said: “The aggressors should bear in mind that unimaginable retaliation which nobody has ever experienced would follow their reckless war frenzy to invade the north.
“If the U.S. imperialists awkwardly provoke the DPRK, they would not be able to escape from the greatest disaster.”
It forced home the point by concluding: “This is a severe warning.”
It comes amid fears North Korea could launch a missile strike or nuclear test today and the country celebrates the anniversary of its founding.
The ‘Day of the Foundation of the Republic’ is marked annually in North Korea where it is one of the most important festivals in the rogue state’s calendar - as well as a regular opportunity for major tests.
Colourful displays are held in the capital of Pyongyang and in other smaller cities, towns and villages throughout the country, while children are admitted into the indoctrinating Young Pioneer Corps.
And experts believe the celebration could also be the perfect time for yet anther provocative nuclear test, following a series of tests this year.
Harry Kazianis of the Centre for the National Interest think tank warned September 9 could be a perfect opportunity for Kim to once again rattle his sabre with an intercontinental ballistic missile [ICBM] test, adding another nuclear test is not far off.
He said: “I think another ICBM test to be honest with you could come on September 9. The North Koreans love to put on a big show for their big national holiday.
“They're going to want to get the most attention they can.
